Valorización por imagen de las artritis reumatoides

Abstract

La artritis reumatoide es una enfermedad autoinmune crónica que afecta las articulaciones, causando inflamación, dolor y daño articular. El sistema inmunológico ataca los tejidos sanos; por tal motivo, puede llevar a deformidades y pérdida de función. Aunque afecta principalmente a las articulaciones; también puede afectar otros órganos como los pulmones, el corazón y los ojos. Es más común en mujeres y se diagnostica generalmente entre los 30 y 50 años. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo general analizar las prácticas actuales de valoración por imagen de la artritis reumatoide -revisión bibliográfica, 2024. Cuya metodología es una revisión documental descriptiva basada en artículos originales indexados en distintas bases de datos de los últimos 10 años (2015 – 2024). Esta investigación ha permitido obtener una visión integral sobre las prácticas actuales y las tendencias más recientes en este campo. A través de la revisión bibliográfica realizada, se identificaron las principales técnicas de imagen utilizadas entre 2015 y 2024, destacándose la resonancia magnética y la ecografía como herramientas clave en la detección temprana y seguimiento de la enfermedad.

Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the joints, causing inflammation, pain, and joint damage. The immune system attacks healthy tissues, which can lead to deformities and loss of function. Although it primarily affects the joints, it can also affect other organs such as the lungs, heart, and eyes. It is more common in women and is generally diagnosed between the ages of 30 and 50. The general objective of this project is to analyze current imaging assessment practices for rheumatoid arthritis - bibliographic review, 2024. The methodology is a descriptive documentary review based on original articles indexed in different databases from the last 10 years (2015 - 2024). This research has provided a comprehensive view of current practices and the most recent trends in this field. Through the bibliographic review carried out, the main imaging techniques used between 2015 and 2024 are identified, highlighting magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound as key tools in the early detection and monitoring of the disease.
