Abstract Annually, around 200 cases of liver cancer are diagnosed in the country. Factors such as overweight, poor diet, and excessive alcohol consumption have a high incidence in the appearance of hepatobiliary diseases. The objective is to identify the current situation of hepatobiliary pathologies at the MINSA CAPSI in Las Garzas throughout the year 2022. A total of 72 patients with a history of ultrasonography of the hepatobiliary region were considered for the study. Variables considered included age, sex, location, diagnostic impression, causative factors, organs and pathologies. The results were expressed in graphs and contingency tables, measuring parameters such as affected organs, diseases found, and within these, determining the sex and age ranges of the same, as well as the place of residence of the patients. It was found that among the most affected organs was the liver, at 16 %, followed by the gallbladder at 13 % and the kidney at 8 %. However, 63 % of the evaluated cases showed no pathological findings. Furthermore, the diseases with the highest prevalence were cholelithiasis with a total of 6 cases, mild hepatobiliary disease with 5 cases, and moderate diffuse hepatocellular disease with 3 cases. There was a higher prevalence of cases in women compared to men, with women being the most affected gender. Regarding age ranges, the highest prevalence was observed in the 46-60 years age group, while the >60 years group showed the lowest prevalence. The place of residence with the highest incidence was Las Garzas, with a 65 % incidence rate, whereas Chepo and 24 de Diciembre had the lowest incidence at 4 % respectively.
