El accidente cerebro vascular (ACV) van en aumento, es la segunda causa de muerte a nivel mundial y es considerado una de las principales causales de discapacidad en el mundo, En Panamá el ACV es considerado la tercera causa de muerte; siendo este una problemática para la sociedad por lo que las repercusiones no solo son observables en la mortalidad o el descenso de la calidad de vida de los pacientes sino también de sus familiares. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es demostrar la estadística de los estudios de tomografía cerebral simple por accidente cerebro vascular en pacientes entre 40 y 60 años en el Hospital San Miguel Arcángel en el periodo de octubre a diciembre de 2021. Incluirá todos los pacientes que cumplan con el rango de edad establecidos y que hayan entrado mediante el departamento de urgencias del hospital. Se realizará un estudio de tipo no experimental; en donde se investigará un grupo especifico de la población, realizando una recolección de datos de los pacientes atendido en el periodo estudiado, para obtener resultados sobre datos demográficos, de salud y de conocimientos previos sobre el accidente cerebrovascular. Abstract Cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) are increasing, it is the second cause of death worldwide and is considered one of the main causes of disability in the world. In Panama, stroke is considered the third cause of death; This is a problem for society, so the repercussions are not only observable in mortality or a decrease in the quality of life of patients but also of their families. The main objective of this research is to demonstrate the statistics of simple brain tomography studies for cerebrovascular accident in patients between 40 and 60 years old at the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital in the period from October to December 2021. It will include all patients who meet with the established age range and who have entered through the hospital's emergency department. A non-experimental study will be carried out; where a specific group of the population will be investigated, collecting data from the patients treated in the period studied, to obtain results on demographic data, health and previous knowledge about stroke.
